We hope to see as many of our members as possible at this important planning event!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This in-person meeting of the Chicago Cultural Alliance Leadership Council is intended for leadership (or the appropriate decision-maker) from all Core Members AND Partner Members of the CCA. This is scheduled for 4:00 – 7:00pm on Tuesday, Oct. 15th at the Swedish American Museum of Chicago. Even if you cannot attend all three hours of this event, we ask that you please try to attend part of it. Beverages and heavy snacks will be provided.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT?
In furtherance of our mission to support and promote Chicago’s centers of cultural heritage, it is imperative that we hear directly from our members. The goals for this meeting will be 1) to hear what additions or changes you would like to see to CCA services or programs and 2) to help facilitate and plan program collaborations for 2025.
WHAT TOPICS WILL BE COVERED?
We plan to cover the following topics during the meeting:
- Address opportunities for members to participate in the Activating Heritage conference in March 2025 (TBD) as panelist, presenters, or regular attendees.
- Gauge interest in Core Member participation in Mosaic 2025 (TBD) at a Cultural Activation Table.
- Discuss Core Member participation in Journey Chicago & World Dumpling Fest 2025 (TBD). This can include: performing on the main stage, taking over a cultural booth at the festival, co-organizing an event for Journey.
- What subject matter experts would you like to hear from during the Town Halls? Would you attend additional virtual workshops with an expert outside of the town halls?
- What CCA services do you use the most?
- What would you like to see the CCA offer?
- Are you interested in the CCA focusing more on collective services and playing more of an advocacy role?
- What type of engagement would you like to see from the Partner Members of the CCA?
- How have you (Core Members) worked with Partner Members in the recent past?
- How do you (Partner Members) perceive your role as a member of the Alliance? How would you like to participate differently in the future?
