At the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture (NMPRAC), we recognize the healing power of art, which is why we prioritize keeping our exhibitions and museum free and accessible to all. Studies have demonstrated the positive effects of visiting art museums on one’s mental health.
As we highlight Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to invite you to our Museum, a safe space to get inspired, learn more, and recharge.
We invite you to our free docent-led tour on Saturday, May 13th, from 11:00-12:00 pm
In addition, we are hosting “Freestyle Art” sessions. Join us on Tuesday, May 9th, Tuesday, or May 16th, anytime between 1 pm – 3 pm, and Saturday, May 27th, from 11 am – 1 pm. We’ll provide everything you need, from mixed-media paper to watercolors, colored pencils, and drawing pencils, so you can doodle, color, and re-create your interpretation of any of our incredible works of art. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a first-time doodler, we welcome you to come and express yourself through art.
We hope to see you soon! To learn more, read HERE.
