A collaboration between The Abrahamic Center for Cultural Education and Sabeel Center for Women’s History Month.
Enjoy a special screening of the film “Monir,” – a witty and heartfelt movie exploring the life and artistic practice of Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian. Monir is the first artist to establish a creative approach that weds the geometric patterns and cut-glass mosaic techniques (Āina-kāri) of her Iranian heritage with the rhythms of modern Western geometric abstraction.
Stop by before the film for an optional Islamic Art Tessellation activity led by ACCE, where we learn, draw and color a few basic design concepts!
Registration is required.
