Pop-Up Café at the Swedish American Museum

Pop by the Museum today or tomorrow for fika in our main gallery space on the first floor. Enjoy some Swedish coffee and cinnamon rolls while you relax and enjoy the photos of famous Blues musicians taken by Hans Ekestang or go outside and sit in our courtyard.

We will be having weekly Pop-Up Cafés every Friday and Saturday through now and August.

Petter Wahlbäck Concert

Petter Wahlbäck is an award-winning Swedish composer and sound designer working out of Chicago. Petter’s main areas of focus are music for media and performing arts. Recent theater sound and music credits include the Eurydice, Requiem for a Heavyweight, By the Bog of Cats, Ada and the Engine, and Vanya on the Plains by the Artistic Home, and Defacing Michael Jackson and The Book of Merman (Flying Elephant Productions), and The My Way Residential (The Irish Theatre). Petter also composes music for film and dance.
Petter will perform Swedish songs and speak about them through a personal and cultural perspective.
A Swedish meatball and mashed potato dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and arrive at 6:30 p.m. if you plan to come for the concert only.
